Postpartum Recovery in Australia | 2026 National Research – Ninja Mama
The State of Postpartum Recovery in Australia (2026)
This research is independently conducted by Ninja Mama to better understand postpartum recovery experiences in Australia.
Postpartum recovery is a significant physical and emotional transition, yet many women report feeling under-prepared for what recovery involves and uncertain about what support is available or expected.
At Ninja Mama, we are conducting an independent national survey to better understand the lived experience of postpartum recovery in Australia. This research aims to capture honest insights from women who have given birth within the last three years, spanning physical recovery, emotional wellbeing, and access to information and support.
The purpose of this work is to contribute to a more informed and realistic understanding of postpartum recovery. Findings from the survey will be compiled into a 2026 white paper and shared with healthcare professionals, educators, and industry stakeholders to help inform future postpartum education, conversations, and support frameworks.
This research is not designed to promote or sell products. Participation is voluntary, and all responses are anonymous and reported in aggregate.
